How does the comparison work?
We extract the text of each PDF with PDF.js and compute a word-level diff. Added text is highlighted green, removed in red.
Does it work with scanned PDFs?
No — scanned PDFs have no embedded text. Run OCR on both first, then compare the .txt outputs separately.
Will my PDFs be uploaded to a server?
No. Both files are read and diffed in your browser. Nothing leaves your device.
What format is the output?
A self-contained HTML report you can open in any browser, including in dark mode.
